School Board Members Day is Friday, November 15th. This is our opportunity to thank our school board members and give them the recognition they have earned for providing a local voice for our community's education decisions. President/Greg Wright, Vice President/Lesley Pace, Secretary/Matt Erbstoesser, along with members/Rick Czepczynski, Andrea DeSerto, Nikki Misiura and Amanda Weiss. Our board members are volunteers serving as advocates striving for quality education opportunities for every student. The members of our board take on this responsibility not for a paycheck, but for their commitment to our community and its children. They act as front-line advocates providing a local voice for the community, a vision for the district and a pathway to success for our students. Our board of education acts to safeguard two of our community's most precious resources-our children and tax dollars-while striving to create the best education environment possible with the resources available. Our school board members wear many hats; they are education leaders, policy makers, contract negotiators, and budgeteers. But they are also our neighbors and our friends. Thank you for your commitment toward making District 165 schools a welcoming, safe place for all our students to achieve their dreams.
